Well, Because I’m in Europe right now, and I have little access to the computer, I’m post-poning my “Tiny Game”. It’s just that whenever I have the chance to work on it, I only have about 20 minutes to do so, and it’s hard to get into some serious programming with such a tremendously small time limit.

So because “Tiny Game” is being postponed, doesn’t mean I’m going to stop game developing all together. I’ve started a more fun, less complex game, which will be easier to pick up at anytime. This is mostly because I’m über organized right now, and doing almost everything in code.

This game I’m developing at the moment is a top down zombie shooter/survival game. So far, in the few hours that I’ve spent on it, it’s been the most fun project I’ve ever done. It’s such a joy to be doing everything in code, and using new techniques to make the game more enjoyable. I’m making the game similar to the firefight mode for Halo 3: ODST, as I’ve got different hordes/waves, maps, and even vehicles. I’ll post a few screenshots soon, and possibly a tech demo, in the near future.

Lately I’ve stumbled upon the Indie Gaming Festival website, and have been checking out the finalists (even though it happened over half a year ago) and half of the games are free, and stacks of fun to play. So if your interested in getting some awesome indie games, for free, head over to http://www.igf.com/02finalists.html

Peace,
